Job Summary
The System Analyst 3 role involves analyzing and managing project workflows using tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA, developing as-is/to-be process documentation, and creating content with BA/QA tools such as FIGMA and Visio. This hybrid position requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate onsite and remotely, supporting project lifecycle management and quality assurance activities within the State of Michigan's Department of Technology, Management, and Budget.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage epics, features, and user stories for projects using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Document as-is and to-be processes and develop related content.
- Utilize BA/QA tools like FIGMA and Visio to support analysis and quality assurance tasks.
- Participate in technical discussions and interviews, demonstrating in-depth experience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear and concise communication of project requirements and progress.
- Support onboarding activities during the initial onsite period.
Required Skills & Certifications
- 3+ years of experience with Azure DevOps or similar project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
- 3+ years of experience in as-is/to-be process documentation and content creation.
- 3+ years of experience using BA/QA tools such as FIGMA and Visio.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Residency within 1-hour of Lansing, Michigan at the time of application.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Previous experience working as a Quality Assurance (QA) professional.
Special Considerations

Scheduling
- Full-time position with a 40-hour workweek.
- Hybrid work schedule with onsite work required on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Onsite onboarding for the first month, Monday through Friday.
- Position duration is one year, with intent to transition to full-time employment within 1-2 years.
