We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.

The Role

Skytap, a Kyndryl Company, is seeking a curious and proactive Technician to join our Infrastructure team. This team provides the foundation for our successful IaaS and Cloud Services business and operates the internal hybrid cloud that powers the broader Engineering team to develop the Skytap platform.

As a member of the team, you will assist in deploying, troubleshooting, and remediating errors in the hardware and software systems that make up our internal cloud. You will also respond to alerts and provide first-line troubleshooting for services deployed in public clouds, following standardized workflows. Occasionally, you’ll participate in physical interventions such as disk swaps or resets, either directly or by coordinating with remote hands.

  • Work with the Infrastructure Networking team to configure and troubleshoot WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, switches, and security, and open provider tickets as needed
  • Follow standard workflows to respond to alerts for services operated in public cloud environments
  • Track provider outages and communicate timely updates to internal stakeholders
  • Escalate and communicate non-standard issues to the appropriate internal engineering teams, including on-call escalation

Your Skills:
