Amentum is seeking a System Administrator to support a new prime contract based out of our Maryland office. You will manage IT system infrastructure, provide Tier I/II support, and help ensure reliability across Unix/Linux and Windows environments.

Qualified candidates hold a TS/SCI Poly clearance, a technical degree (or equivalent experience), and strong Linux/Networking skills. This role emphasizes security compliance and IT operations excellence.

Qualifications

• Ten years’ SA experience on programs with similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; or 14 years of combined SA experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with Linux and Networking.
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level I or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day operations across client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
• Deliver Tier I and II support and communicate status to management and customers.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems and optimize resource utilization.

Purpose and Impact

Amentum is seeking a System Administrator for a new prime contract that is based out of our Maryland office.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
• Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT Engineering or related field is required.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, four (4) additional years of work-related experience may be substituted for a total of fourteen (14) years.

• Ten (10) years’ experience as a SA on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Compensation Details
