Jr. System Administrator, internally known as Analyst, Information Workplace Services; collaborate with many teams to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements andcreateend-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.

What You Will Do:

• Provide System Administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.
• Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
• Ability to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ certification) within 6 months of hire date.
• Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours, may require less than 10% travel to other Raytheon sites as needed.
• 100% on-site position
• Up to 5% travel

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree
• Must have an active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with Windows Operating Systems or Linux.
• Experience with patching, and security hardening.
• Experience with PC and/or Server troubleshooting.
• Experience in developing solutions and documenting technical problems.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with Linux Operating Systems, VMWare (vCenter, vSphere, VDI, ESX), Splunk or Tenable Nessus Monitoring Tools, scripting.
• Experience with security hardening of Windows or Linux systems.
• Experience with NetApp data storage and data backup technologies.

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
