Job Description: BMC3 Systems Administrator Analyst with Linux full‑stack development experience. Immediate need at SAIC Huntsville to plan and execute testing, training, maintenance, and operate the BMC3 ground simulation test lab hardware.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of security measures called out in the security plan to include timely scans of network resources and software patches.
• Provide effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of production Linux servers in a VMWare virtualized environment.
• Apply DISA STIG compliance controls to secure systems.
• Responsible for daily system monitoring, security, server health, resources, and log management of Linux and Windows Server systems.
• Troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis, including issues with system configurations, backups, file systems, and user access.
• Support Linux platforms hosting applications, operations and sustainment systems, and ACAS and other security tools.
• Interface with engineers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts.
• Troubleshoot hardware, networking, and software problems in a multi-node environment.
• Use automation software provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment functionality.
• Create and maintain software documentation and updates.
• Work with a highly technical team to perform evaluation tests.
• Support Docker desktop containers and services such as Kubernetes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's and five (5) years or more experience;
• Must have CompTIA Certs – Security+ certification
• Experience with Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019 or higher

• Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly
• Must be a US Citizen and have a Secret Clearance

Desired Skills

• CCNA, CCNP, or Network+ certifications
• Proficiency in working with OpenStack components and services
• Experience with RKE2, Rancher, Longhorn, and Docker containers
• Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability management
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python to automate repetitive tasks
• Understanding of server hardware, storage systems, and backup solutions
