Job summary

Independent Software, Inc. is looking for a System Administrator Level 2 to support secure IT systems across Windows and UNIX/Linux environments. You will manage day-to-day operations, virtualization, automation, and enterprise infrastructure while providing Tier 1 and 2 support.

Candidates must hold DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification and an active TS SCI with polygraph. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and security best-practice adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of System Administration experience in similar environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university; degrees may be substituted with additional experience.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and UNIX/Linux systems.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, diagnose and resolve issues.
• Support client/server, storage, network, and related IT infrastructure.
• Install, patch, and maintain operating systems and components.
• Support Active Directory, Group Policy, and network services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Support virtualization, containerization, and system automation.
• Monitor system health, performance, capacity, and resources.
• Document and communicate escalated issues and resolutions.
