Job summary

Remedy Staffing in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator I to support Windows server environments, SQL databases, and network infrastructure. This on-site role includes a remote rotation and a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, direct hire.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of IT infrastructure or technical support experience, strong SQL Server skills, Windows Server administration, and solid networking and troubleshooting abilities.

Systems Administrator I

We’re seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator I to support Windows server environments, business applications, SQL databases, and network infrastructure. This is a mid-to-senior level technical role where approximately 95% of the day is spent troubleshooting, supporting systems, and resolving complex technical issues.

What You’ll Need:

• Minimum 3 years of IT infrastructure, systems administration, or technical support experience
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience, including writing queries and T-SQL
• Windows Server administration experience
• General networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Strong initiative, curiosity, and ownership mentality
• Current certifications (degree not required)

Preferred:

• AWS or cloud experience
• VMware experience
• Microsoft 365 administration
• Jira/Confluence experience
• Customer-facing technical support experience

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into technical challenges, collaborating with users and internal teams, and taking issues from investigation through resolution. Strong troubleshooting skills are critical for success.
