Overview

JOB TITLE: System Administrator (Apache Tomcat) – Top Secret Required

GOVERNMENT AGENCY: DOJ NSD – National Security Division

POSITION INFORMATION: Full-Time Position; Government contractor supporting DOJ NSD

LOCATION:Employee must work onsite at one of the following two approved DOJ work locations - Washington, DC OR Bluemont, VA (Mount Weather)

POSITION TIMING: Position requires candidate to obtain SCI prior to starting; can take 2-4+ weeks to process

The mission of the National Security Division (NSD) is to carry out the Department's highest priority: to combat terrorism and other threats to national security. The Infrastructure Support and Software Development Services division provides all IT services necessary to support the NSD's Infrastructure & Operations as well as Software Development, Engineering, and Service Desk.

Responsibilities

• Provide sustainment support at the web application tier.
• Proficiency in installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and hardening of mid tier tools such as Apache TomCat, JBOSS, Oracle and administration of on premise Sharepoint Server.
• Supports development teams to configure development environments and tune web application stacks.
• Develops, maintains, improves, and automates processes for operations and deployments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience with proven System Administration experience
• Apache Tomcat administration experience
• Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree, preferred
• Active Top Secret, required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
