An Oracle Data Center Technician will perform key roles to delivering core infrastructure & foundational technologies within the OCI data center environments. You perform repairs, installation and monitoring for your data center spaces. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support, and you keep learning to drive performance improvement of the hardware. You know how to take action when appropriate and advance when required. You are able to take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved. Expected to improve current processes and introduce automation with aim towards simplification. Active Public Trust security clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Hardware installation & decommission of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of data center hardware and networking infrastructure.
  • Rack and stack of data center equipment, including but not limited to servers, networking devices, monitoring systems, and other equipment.
  • Rack installation including putting racks in place, cabling, power up, and hand-off of servers to internal provisioning teams.
  • Monitoring of DC environments using monitoring tools.
  • Monitoring and responding in a ticketing environment that is used and monitored by multiple internal Oracle Cloud service owners and teams.
  • Documentation of activities and strict alignment to SOP’s.
  • Decommission life cycle of data center hardware.
  • Inventory process, order replacement parts, and return failed parts as required.
  • Structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber/copper cables.
  • System power supplies and cabling install, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • You should be able to complete small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and completing larger local projects.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $32.84 - $67.88 per hour; from: $68,300 - $141,200 per year. May be eligible for equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  • Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
