A woman-owned technology firm based in Maryland is seeking a qualified Systems Administrator to provide Tier 1 and 2 IT support. You will manage UNIX and Windows systems, troubleshoot issues, and support large software deployments. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in a similar role and a bachelor’s degree in a technical field. The position offers a competitive salary range of $118k-$229k annually, along with generous benefits including 24 days PTO and 100% healthcare coverage for employees.
TS/SCI w/Polygraph required. Approved for up to 60% Telework.
Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems, installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components along with implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Experience required to support the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Provide Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Experience with Container Technology: administering large software deployments on LINUX/UNIX systems, administering clustered storage solutions (e.g. storage appliances, Ceph), Kubernetes orchestrated containers, system configuration management software (e.g. Puppet, Ansible) and change control.
Ten (10) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
$118k-$229k (Annually)*
