Job summary

VT Group (VTG) is seeking a System Administrator in Pearl City, Hawaii. You will install and maintain LAN hardware and software, coordinate third‑party maintenance, support users, and ensure network stability.

The role requires a Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret and IAT Level 1 certification, plus at least one year of hands-on experience with network devices and VTCs. On-site in Pearl City with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret.
• IAT Level 1 certified (DoDI 8510.01).
• At least 1 year of experience maintaining and configuring network IP devices, switches, workstations, servers, and VTCs.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain LAN hardware and software including servers, peripherals, and wiring.
• Evaluate LAN requirements and make recommendations; coordinate third‑party maintenance.
• Coordinate installation of hardware and software by others; manage telecom services.
• Provide user training and support for network administration and company email, conference bridge, and mobile devices.
• Monitor and maintain network stability.
• Communicate network schedules, backups, and downtime to users.
• Maintain a current asset inventory and documentation of network configurations and cabling.
• Coordinate third‑party maintenance for network hardware, software, and telecommunications services.
• Provide support for servers, desktops, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, and mobile devices.

VTG is seeking a System Administrator in Pearl City, Hawaii.

What will you do?

• Installs and maintains local area network hardware and software including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, and wiring.
• Evaluates local area network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations; handles related site‑specific needs as required
• Coordinates installation of hardware and software by others; coordinates third‑party maintenance for network hardware, software, and telecommunications services.
• Provides support to and trains users in local area network administration and usage of company email, conference bridge, cell phone setup, and standard PC utilization.
• Monitors and maintains network stability.
• Communicates and coordinates network schedule, backups, and downtime to users.
• Maintains a current asset inventory and asset assignment information.
• Coordinates third‑party maintenance for network hardware, software, and telecommunications services
• Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts
• Provides a variety of technical and administrative systems support to users to include.

Desired

• One (1) year of experience performing maintenance, configuration, security and remediation of network IP devices, switches, workstations and servers, according to Navy Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.

Pay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $90,000-105,000, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
