Job summary

6AM City, LLC is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to manage a development and testing lab environment. The role focuses on maintaining Cisco Catalyst/ Cisco UCS, VMware, Active Directory, VDI, VPN, DNS, and automation tooling to keep systems secure and available.

You will implement new technologies, manage access controls, monitor performance, back up data, and document policies and procedures. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of system administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Catalyst, Cisco UCS, VMware, Microsoft Active Directory, VDI, VPN, DNS, and Terraform.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the development and testing lab infrastructure, including Cisco Catalyst, Cisco UCS, VMware, and Microsoft Active Directory.
• Implement and support VDI, VPN, DNS, and other IT services as needed.
• Manage access control and permissions for all users in the development and testing lab environment.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery systems for critical data.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure the lab environment aligns with project goals.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and implement them to improve efficiency.
• Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, policies, and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Cisco Catalyst, Cisco UCS, VMware, Microsoft Active Directory, VDI, VPN, DNS, and various support IT services like Terraform and other automation software. The primary responsibility of this role will be to maintain infrastructure, ensure all users have appropriate access, and implement emerging technologies as needed.
