University Health is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with strong UKG Workforce Management expertise to support and enhance the enterprise systems that help power a large, complex healthcare organization. This opportunity is suited to a skilled technology professional who values system ownership, thoughtful problem-solving, and collaboration with technical, administrative, and clinical teams.
University Health is a mission-driven healthcare organization whose systems support essential clinical, financial, and administrative operations. Technology plays an important role in keeping these services reliable and accessible. The organization offers the opportunity to contribute to a stable public healthcare environment while working with enterprise-scale applications and teams dedicated to serving patients and the community.
As a Systems Administrator, you will provide hands‑on administration, analysis, configuration, and ongoing support for UKG Workforce Management and other enterprise applications. You will help maintain production and non‑production environments, resolve complex issues, and support system improvements throughout their lifecycle. Your work will help ensure that workforce management tools and related platforms operate reliably for the people and departments that depend on them.
You will partner with Information Services leadership, internal customers, vendors, and project teams to assess needs and deliver practical technical solutions. The role calls for sound judgment, clear communication, and the ability to take ownership of issues while keeping stakeholders informed. You will also participate in an on‑call rotation or provide on‑call support for assigned systems as required.
Applicants should bring at least three years of experience in systems administration, programming, systems analysis, or a related area, along with hands‑on experience supporting UKG Workforce Management. Experience should include basic and advanced scheduling, timekeeping, and time clocks. A background supporting ERP platforms or other large enterprise application environments is also required.
Successful candidates will have experience with at least one programming or scripting language or integration technology, such as APIs, SQL, Visual Basic, ASP/Web, C++, Dell Boomi, or a comparable tool. Working knowledge of relational databases, including SQL Server or Oracle, is important, as is experience supporting Windows and/or UNIX operating systems. Familiarity with application‑related hardware such as time clocks or tablets is valuable.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills are essential. You should be comfortable working independently and collaborating effectively with both technical and non‑technical colleagues. Experience in healthcare or another regulated environment is preferred. Familiarity with systems such as PeopleSoft, Premier, OnBase, or ServiceNow, and with report writing or data extraction tools such as SQL or Business Objects, is an advantage.
Administer, configure, analyze, and support UKG Workforce Management and other assigned ERP‑based applications across production and non‑production environments. Investigate and resolve complex application, system, and integration issues, escalating or coordinating with vendors and internal teams when appropriate. Support upgrades, patches, fixes, and enhancements, including planning, testing, implementation, and post‑implementation review.
Assist with database support, interfaces, data extraction, reporting, and backups. Participate in system testing and help assess the impact of proposed changes. Contribute to change control processes, technical standards, and accurate system documentation. Work with IS leadership and business partners to understand requirements, coordinate projects, and communicate progress. Provide on‑call support for assigned enterprise systems.
