Ancestry is seeking a Senior Linux System Administrator to join the iMemories/Ancestry operations team in Scottsdale, AZ. You will manage an enterprise environment with 800 systems and 2+ PB storage, ensuring uptime and seamless support for 24/7 operations.
Ideal candidates have 7–10 years of Linux administration experience, strong networking, AD, Mac OSX support, and hands-on AWS (EC2, Route 53, S3) and PostgreSQL maintenance. Bachelor's in a technical field preferred; on-call rotation required.

The iMemories System Administrator will be part of a team that maintains an enterprise environment composed of 800 systems with over 2 petabytes of storage. We strive for uptime. We are looking for people with a passion for technology and a desire to learn new skills while improving their system administration talents. The candidate must be comfortable dealing with everything from high-end enterprise hardware to a low-end desktop printer. Troubleshooting user desktop issues and answering user how-to questions is required. They will work closely with members of the technology and operations team to prioritize tasks to bring new systems, applications, and workstations online. Experience supporting a 24/7, multiple-shift operation is essential.
