Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Systems Administrator for a top manufacturing technology client. This candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting enterprise Windows Server infrastructure, Active Directory, virtualization environments, endpoint security, and user support operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and sustainable technology solutions while supporting both traditional IT systems and modern operational technologies within a manufacturing environment. Day-to-Day:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure in VMware environments
- Manage Active Directory users, groups, and Group Policy Objects
- Implement and enforce endpoint security policies and configurations
- Install, configure, and remove hardware and software solutions
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal users
- Monitor application performance and perform application maintenance
- Execute backup, restore, and system maintenance procedures
- Automate routine administrative functions using PowerShell and standard tools
- Support endpoint vulnerability management and resolve security events
- Administer MDM platforms including Google and SOTI
- Support deployment and integration of new Operational Technologies and manufacturing equipment
- Assess, document, and implement technology changes
- Investigate and resolve escalated incidents while ensuring proper documentation
- Analyze incident trends and contribute to continuous service improvement
- Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and business partners to deliver secure technology solutions
Must-Haves:
- 2+ years of Systems Administration or related IT infrastructure experience
- Strong Active Directory administration experience (Users, Groups, GPOs)
- VMware or other virtualization platform experience
- Knowledge of Windows endpoint operating systems
- Understanding of endpoint security hardening and security best practices
- Experience with incident management, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Basic networking knowledge including network topology, wireless systems, and firewalls
- Experience with backup/restore processes and system maintenance
- Ability to support vulnerability management and security compliance initiatives
- Strong customer service and end-user support skills
Plusses:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- PowerShell scripting and automation experience
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as Google or SOTI
- Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) environments
