Job summary

NewGen Technologies is seeking a System Administrator to operate and maintain Linux servers, VMs, and shared storage across unclassified and controlled environments.

You will support OLVM-managed VMs, ZFS storage, FreeIPA services, and network connectivity with Cisco devices, ensuring high availability and secure operations in a mixed environment.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI FSP Clearance required.
• 5+ years as a System Administrator.
• Hands-on experience administering Linux systems and troubleshooting infrastructure issues.
• Ability to maintain reliable services across virtualization, storage, identity, and network components.
• Intermediate knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco network administration.
• Advanced scripting skills, including the ability to modify existing scripts and develop new scripts.
• Clear documentation and communication skills.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle Linux 8, 9, and 10 systems, including installation, configuration, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Manage unclassified user VMs in Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM).
• Maintain Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance (ZS11-2) shared storage for TS and unclassified environments.
• Support FreeIPA identity and DNS services for the unclassified environment.
• Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity and Cisco IOS-XE devices in coordination with network teams.
• Assess CVEs, track remediation, and support IAVM management.
• Document configurations, maintenance procedures, incidents, and system changes.
• Ownership of the networks to ensure limited (<99%) down time for the users.

Our Partner is seeking a System Administrator to operate and maintain internal and customer environments including Linux servers, virtual machines, shared storage, identity services, and network infrastructure. This role supports unclassified user VMs and shared storage environments, including classified and unclassified systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle Linux 8, 9, and 10 systems, including installation, configuration, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Manage unclassified user VMs in Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM)
