The J-Tech II contract is one of Arcata's longest standing partnerships. J-Tech II provides engineering and technical services to support research, development, test and evaluation, training missions, and related support activities for the 412th Test Wing Edwards, Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR), Utah Test and Training Range, and China Lake Ranges. We provide expert technical knowledge of flight and ground test and training systems, equipment and facilities to support pre-mission, mission and post-mission requirements in areas including Telemetry Systems, Telecommunication Systems, Signal Collect/Monitoring Analysis, Threat Systems, Computer Systems, Instrumentation Systems, Mission Control/Coordination, Data Analysis/Reports, Time-Space Position Information (TSPI)/Scoring Systems, Test/Training Management, and Sustainment Engineering
The System Administrator (SA) performs operational support and on-going maintenance of systems required to meet contract objectives. The SA will coordinate with JT4 departments, the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) and external units to provision, test, maintain, resolve computer system issues and works closely with Cyber Security to maintain a high level of systems integrity and security.
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, prolonged sitting while using the computer and the telephone, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Project demands may require travel to NTTR locations by Government vehicle. Possible exposure to extreme outdoor weather conditions for prolonged periods, travel over rough roads, and work on uneven surfaces in an outdoor environment. The noise level on the NTTR varies from quiet to moderately noisy. Must comply with all safety and security requirements and procedures.
