Job summary

Resource Label Group in Lake Oswego, OR, seeks a Systems Administrator to be the primary IT presence at the site, handling day-to-day infrastructure tasks, L3 escalations from the MSP, and changes under the direction of the Infrastructure Manager. The role is designed to grow toward Senior Systems Administrator capability over time.

An ideal candidate is centrally located near one of our manufacturing locations and is available for a hybrid schedule at the plant (3 days in-person).

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of IT infrastructure or systems administration experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, networking basics, and endpoint management.
• Comfortable working independently at a site with remote management oversight.
• Organized and reliable; follows process and documents work without being prompted.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the infrastructure health of assigned sites: servers, virtualization, storage, endpoints, local networking.
• Respond to and resolve L3 escalations from the outsourced MSP within defined SLAs.
• Execute infrastructure changes as directed, following RLG change management practices.

Position summary
The Systems Administrator is the primary IT presence at their assigned site(s). They are responsible for day-to-day infrastructure operations, resolving L3 escalations from the MSP, and executing changes under the direction of the Infrastructure Manager or a Senior Systems Administrator. Systems Administrators are expected to grow - the role is designed to develop toward Senior Systems Administrator capability over time.

Core responsibilities

Site operations

• Maintain the infrastructure health of assigned sites: servers, virtualization, storage, endpoints, local networking.
• Respond to and resolve L3 escalations from the outsourced MSP within defined SLAs.
• Execute infrastructure changes as directed, following RLG change management practices.
• Maintain site infrastructure documentation; update records after every significant change.

Reliability and monitoring

• Monitor assigned site infrastructure using RLG tooling; elevate anomalies to the Sr. Systems Administrator or Infrastructure Manager before they become incidents.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks: patching, backup validation, capacity checks, hardware lifecycle tracking.

Development

• Actively develop proficiency across the core technical platforms in use at RLG.
• Engage with Sr. Systems Administrators for guidance on novel problems or complex changes.
• Contribute to runbook documentation based on resolved issues.
