Taurean is hiring a Physical Security System Administrator to operate and administer the LENEL ESS system and provide Tier 2 IT support for the client's Physical Security program on-site in Doral, Florida. This role is the primary LENEL system administrator and technical escalation point between end users and the Tier 3 Network Engineer — responsible for day-to-day system health, user support, vulnerability management, and infrastructure sustainment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the LENEL access control system and perform all System Administrator functions; serve as the primary LENEL technical point of contact for the Physical Security program
- Provide IT Tier 2 service: in-depth technical troubleshooting; investigate elevated issues and seek known solutions; elevate to Tier 3 (Network Engineer) when issues exceed scope or permissions
- Train users on equipment operation; generate and dispense user codes; provide end-user training documentation; retain copies for one (1) year
- Integrate ESS hardware with network infrastructure — switches, servers, fiber transfer systems, battery backup — to successfully operate the ESS
Systems Operations & Infrastructure
- Provide systems operations services including imaging, patching, application deployment, system monitoring, and service operations
- Apply OS patches and STIGs on a regular basis; upgrade administrative tools and utilities; configure and add new services as needed
- Perform periodic performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization; configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required
- Manage, update, and troubleshoot all SAN and storage technology devices across the client's Security ESS network
- Provide services for virtualized platforms including automated system provisioning, deployment, and servicing of physical and virtual enclaves
- Manage AD services including DNS, DHCP, group policy, and certificates
- Engineer, install, operate, and maintain end-user devices including thin/zero client services, imaging, monitoring, patching, and application virtualization
- Engineer, install, operate, and maintain a password management system; contractor is responsible for implementation (no Government-provided solution in place)
Monitoring, SIEM & Vulnerability Management
- Configure and maintain all network equipment for log collection and retention; configure, maintain, analyze, and monitor SIEM data to detect and respond to threats and outages
- Configure, test, fine-tune, and maintain SIEM rule sets; analyze and investigate all daily SIEM alerts/offenses; resolve upon completion; reduce false positives through ongoing tuning
- Conduct monthly ESS network vulnerability scans per applicable DoD references; recommend corrective action to COR
- Provide daily monitoring, review, analysis, and evaluation of ESS processes and technology; recommend upgrades to maintain system viability
Reporting, Planning & Compliance
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on system health, accuracy, operations, and other COR/KO-directed metrics
- Establish a written preventative maintenance plan within 30 days of contract award; update and submit annually
- Develop and maintain a tracking system for maintenance agreements with Lenel, VX Rail, Quest, Solar Winds, Microsoft, NETAPP, Thales, and other ESS vendors; update on weekly WAR
- Adhere to client incident reporting requirements and CJCSI Cyber Conditions (CYBERCON) handling procedures
After-Hours Standby: Must respond to critical ESS failures after duty hours, on holidays, and weekends. Standby roster participation required. Response within two (2) hours of notification.
