Job summary

MANTECH seeks a System Administrator to support the Air Force/Space team at Eglin AFB, Florida. The role focuses on maintaining Windows and Linux servers, hypervisors, and security controls to support the 53rd WTSS contract.

The position operates on second shift (2:30pm - 1am, four days a week) and requires DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliance, current Top-Secret clearance eligibility, and Citrix experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years related experience or equivalent.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level II or higher required.
• Technical competency across Windows Server, Linux, hypervisors, networking, IDS/IPS, and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Determine hardware, software, and system specifications and configuration requirements.
• Patch, fix, and ensure compliance of assigned systems.
• Plan, install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Hyper-V, server OS versions, and networking/storage.
• Support users in account management, enterprise and desktop applications, and peripherals.
• Coordinate with ISSO on data transfers and media creation.
• Facilitate user account creation and modification.
• Perform additional hardware and software tasks as assigned.

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator to join our Air Force / Space team at Eglin AFB.

The System Administrator's primary function is to support the United States Air Force’s 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract.

This position works second shift (2:30pm - 1am, 4 days a week).

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Determining hardware, software, and systems specifications, and configuration requirements.
• Execution of the patching, fixing, and making all assigned systems compliant.
• Planning, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Hyper V, Microsoft Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2, Server 2016, client products across multiple networks, and network storage.
• Provide support to users in the areas of account management, enterprise applications, desktop applications, and peripherals.
• May work closely with the ISSO for data transfers and media creation.
• Facilitate and coordinate user account creation and modification.
• Perform other hardware and software tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university. 2 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• 2+ years direct/related experience
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level II or higher
• Working technical competency in one or more of the following supported platforms: Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, MS Hyper-V/VMWare/ESx/Xen Hypervisors, Enterprise networking/firewalls/intrusion detection/prevention systems, forensic analysis/vulnerability assessment, Group Policy management and configuration.
• Experience with Citrix.

Clearance Requirement

• Must have a current/active Top-Secret Clearance
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI-eligible clearance (i.e. DCID 6/4 eligibility)
• Must possess eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
• Must demonstrate a willingness to submit to a Polygraph.

Physical Requirements

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.”
