Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated System Administrator to support the United States Air Force’s 53rd Wing Technical Support Services contract at Eglin AFB. The role emphasizes second shift work (2:30pm - 1am, 4 days a week) and collaboration with ISSO for data transfers and security.

Responsibilities include hardware/software planning, patching, and enterprise platform administration across Hyper-V, Windows Server, Linux servers, and various network services. A TS/SCI-eligible clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline; 2+ years of additional experience may substitute for a degree.
• 2+ years direct/related experience in system administration.
• DoD 8570 IA Technical (IAT) Level II or higher compliance.

Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator to join our Air Force / Space team at Eglin AFB.

The System Administrator's primary function is to support the United States Air Force’s 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract. This position works second shift (2:30pm - 1am, 4 days a week).

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Determining hardware, software, and systems specifications, and configuration requirements.
• Execution of the patching, fixing, and making all assigned systems compliant.
• Planning, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Hyper V, Microsoft Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2, Server 2016, client products across multiple networks, and network storage.
• Provide support to users in the areas of account management, enterprise applications, desktop applications, and peripherals.
• May work closely with the ISSO for data transfers and media creation.
• Facilitate and coordinate user account creation and modification.
• Perform other hardware and software tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university. 2 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• 2+ years direct/related experience
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level II or higher
• Working technical competency in one or more of the following supported platforms: Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, MS Hyper-V/VMWare/ESx/Xen Hypervisors, Enterprise networking/firewalls/intrusion detection/prevention systems, forensic analysis/vulnerability assessment, Group Policy management and configuration.
• Experience with Citrix.

Clearance Requirement

• Must have a current/active Top-Secret Clearance
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI-eligible clearance (i.e. DCID 6/4 eligibility)
• Must possess eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
• Must demonstrate a willingness to submit to a Polygraph.

Physical Requirements

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
