- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
- 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
- System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
- Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, and MDM platforms to manage macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Windows devices or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Experience with scripting and automation tools

As an Systems Software Administrator, you will:
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
- Installs and upgrades computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
- Troubleshoots hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Provides documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
- Performs or delegates regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
- Possesses knowledge of FERPA, COPPA, CIPA and other various regulations surrounding staff and student data privacy
- Maintains the confidentiality of privileged information
- Performs other duties as assigned
What We Offer:
As a contracted employee, this position is assigned to work 234 days per year and 8 hours per day.
- Salary details are available within the SASO/SAST Agreement
Starting salary is in accordance with the negotiated agreement, increases with experience and education.
