We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient System Administrator to manage and optimize our hybrid cloud infrastructure and modern endpoint environment. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services and significant hands‑on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune). This role requires a professional who can lead projects, mentor junior staff, and ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our core IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Administration & Optimization: Design, implement, configure, and maintain Microsoft Azure core services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, Monitoring).
- Identity Management: Expertly manage and troubleshoot hybrid identity solutions using Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) and traditional Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), including federated access (SSO) and conditional access policies.
- Networking: Configure and maintain virtual networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), VPNs, and ExpressRoute connections to ensure secure and efficient cloud connectivity.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce Azure security best practices, governance policies, data encryption, and robust backup/disaster recovery solutions.
- Automation: Utilize PowerShell and Azure CLI to automate repetitive tasks, manage resource deployments, and maintain system consistency.
- Endpoint Management (Intune/MEM Focus): Serve as the subject matter expert for Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM).
- Device Lifecycle: Configure and manage the entire lifecycle of corporate endpoints (Windows, iOS, Android) using Intune, including enrollment (e.g., Autopilot), configuration profiles, and compliance policies.
- Application Deployment: Design and execute standardized application deployment and patch management strategies across all managed endpoints using Intune.
- Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex endpoint, access, and application issues related to Intune, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and conditional access.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff and support team.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all system configurations, procedures, and service‑desk knowledge‑base articles.
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, cloud migrations, and evaluation of new technologies.
- Monitoring & Support: Ensure reliable monitoring and alerting systems are in place for all infrastructure services and participate in an on‑call rotation for critical escalation.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in Information Technology, with a focus on System Administration or Infrastructure Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of hands‑on, expert‑level experience managing and maintaining complex environments in Microsoft Azure.
- Proven experience (2+ years strongly preferred) with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), including device enrollment, application deployment, and security/compliance policy creation.
- Expert proficiency with PowerShell for administration, automation, and reporting.
- Deep functional understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server operating systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate AZ‑104, Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator)."
- Experience with other MDM solutions (e.g., Jamf, SCCM/MEMC).
- Experience in vendor management and capacity planning.
