System Integration Associate
SAIC is looking for a System Integration Associate to support both existing and new programs. This position will be located in Panama City Beach, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Support fabrication of production components including welding, basic machining, assembly, and packaging.
- Maintain welding certifications and acquire new certifications as needed.
- Support fleet installation of various modification packages at various locations; intermittent travel required.
- Learn new skills rapidly.
- Determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, welding/fitting, machining, and assembly units.
- Follow quality policy and ensure all work meets required standards.
- Make setups and adjustments to keep tolerances within specifications.
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exact tolerances and dimensions.
- Interpret drawings, sketches, and engineering specifications; determine sequence of operations for fabrication; use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; make standard shop calculations for dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measure, mark, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment and determine material, parts, and equipment required.
- Some machines may be numerically controlled; may monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Qualifications
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree and zero (0) years’ experience; additional four (4) years’ experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
Required Clearance
- Must possess an active Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret; U.S. citizenship required.
Required Skills
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with basic hand and power tools.
- Work independently or with little supervision.
- Use mills, lathes, brakes, for fabrication and perform QA.
- Welding both in shop and in field per drawings.
- Possible CONUS & OCONUS travel.
