What does a Syrup Technician do at Swire Coca-Cola?

A Syrup Technician is responsible for receiving and storing concentrate and sweetener, batching syrups for production, monitoring syrup flow to production lines, and maintaining sanitation in the Syrup Room. Occasionally, validation and testing of inbound raw materials are required.

Job Details:
  • Schedule: 6am - 4:30pm (Sun - Wed, OT as needed)
Responsibilities:
  • Uphold all safety practices and report hazards
  • Batch syrup according to CCNA recipe
  • Clean and sanitize the syrup room and equipment following work instructions and SSOPs
  • Perform analysis of incoming, in-process, and finished materials
  • Manage and report on inventory of concentrates and raw materials
  • Utilize recipe management computer systems
  • Become certified to operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT)
  • Follow all quality, environmental, safety, and food safety policies
  • Support ISO/GFSI, FDA/USDA compliance, and food safety programs
  • Maintain accurate documentation
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years lab technician experience
  • 1+ years production/manufacturing experience or food/beverage mixing and batching experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with lab safety, hazardous materials handling, and lifting up to 65 pounds
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
