Job summary

Butternut Mountain Farm in Morrisville, Vermont is seeking a Syrup Production Operator to support the preparation, heating, filtration, and movement of maple syrup for our packaging lines. This is a hands-on production role that starts on the floor and includes training on syrup-processing procedures.

You will operate pumps, tanks, valves, and filtration systems, monitor temperature and flow, and ensure quality across shifts.

Qualifications

• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Good math skills for volume, flow and run-rate calculations.
• Ability to follow written procedures and quality requirements.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Begin on the production floor and learn core production and packaging processes.
• Prepare, heat, filter, and supply maple syrup to production lines after training.
• Monitor syrup temperature, flow, color and density to meet quality specs.
• Operate pumps, valves, filtration systems, tanks and related equipment.
• Maintain continuous syrup flow to support packaging line speeds and minimize downtime.
