Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Syrup Blender to manufacture syrup used in our bottling process. You will blend syrup, build recipes, and manage concentrate inventories while performing related lab duties in a fast-paced team environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, basic math and computer skills, and be able to follow procedures. forklift certification is required, and you must be available to work the necessary hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year production or technical experience preferred.
• Good Manufacturing Practices background preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills, plus good written and oral communication.
• Analytical thought process and good hand/eye coordination.
• Must follow established procedures and work in a fast-paced team setting.
• Must complete forklift certification.
• Must be able to work the hours necessary to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Blends syrup.
• Calculates concentrate units by converting production figures to finished gallons.
• Builds recipes to specifications.
• Receives concentrate and HFCS.
• Maintains concentrate and HFCS inventories.
• Performs associated lab duties.
• Follows all company rules and regulations.
• Performs housekeeping duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

Syrup Blender Role Overview

Manufactures syrup that is used in the bottling process from concentrate.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Blends syrup.
• Calculates number of concentrate flavor units required by converting production case figures to equivalent finished gallons of syrup.
• Builds recipes to specifications.
• Receives concentrate and high fructose corn syrup.
• Maintains concentrate and high fructose corn syrup inventory.
• Conducts associated lab duties.
• Follows all company rules and regulations.
• Performs housekeeping duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. One (1) year production or technical experience preferred.
• Good Manufacturing Practices background preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills, good written and oral communication skills, and good organizational skills required.
• An analytical thought process and good hand/eye coordination required.
• Must be able to follow established procedures without deviation.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to successfully complete forklift certification.
• Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
