  • Plan and lead on-ice and off-ice training sessions for the Aspire 2 synchronized skating team.
  • Develop skaters’ synchronized skating skills, including formations, transitions, unison, and musicality.
  • Foster a supportive and team-oriented atmosphere that encourages skill development and confidence.
  • Prepare the team for exhibitions, shows and competitions in accordance with U.S. Figure Skating Aspire program guidelines.
  • Choreograph routines that align with team skill levels and competition requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with skaters, parents, and rink management regarding schedules, progress, and expectations.
  • Ensure safety protocols and rink rules are followed at all times.
  • Assist with recruitment and retention efforts to grow the synchronized skating program.
  • Strong background in synchronized skating, either as a competitor or coach.
  • Experience working with young skaters in a team setting.
  • U.S. Figure Skating coaching membership and compliance requirements (or willingness to obtain).
  • Learn to Skate USA or SafeSport certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Previous synchronized skating coaching experience at the Aspire or higher levels.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in synchronized skating, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for helping skaters develop their skills in a team setting. This position involves coaching skaters at the Aspire 2 level, focusing on foundational synchro skills, teamwork, and competition preparation in a positive and structured environment.
