We are looking for Symantec Data Loss Prevention Specialist for a Contract & Contract to Hire Position at NYC, NY. Please find below the details of the position.

Job Location: NYC, NY
Job Type: Contract & Contract to Hire (1 – 2 Years)
Final Round: F2F Interview at NYC, NY

Please Note: L3 support would indicate the highest level of expertise in a tool set, such as “Subject Matter Expert” and the “Go to person” for all answers and problem resolution of that product in this case Symantec DLP. Team Communication skills and coordination are critical and imperative in such a role; a sense of priority and urgency is also critical. A proper candidate should currently be performing at L3 support level or at a minimum L2 support in a large scale environment with the talent and ability to become L3 support.

Role:
Provide and maintain security infrastructure, providing stability by following and using the tools, policies, processes and procedures that are available.
Provide reporting and metrics.
Resolve incidents while investigating & troubleshooting root causes when escalated.
Create, review, maintain, and update documentation.
Undertake problem ownership and project leadership.
Responsibility for the planning and controlled execution of releases into the managed environment.
Improving the process by identifying areas for automation and scripting wherever possible.

Qualifications

Skill Required:
Experience with Symantec Data Loss Prevention (Email and Network) is a must-have.
Experience in administrating and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux system.
General Networking skills including but not limited to firewalls, routing, NAT, SI Model, packet trace and analysis knowledge.
Knowledge of Shell Scripting.
Project management skills.
Interpersonal Skills: Communication, flexibility, self-driven, team player.

Skill Desired:
Scripting language (Perl/Python).
Basic database knowledge.
Familiarity with Windows Servers or Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
Experience with Transporter or Guardium products.
Operations Manager 2007.
SQL, Oracle, Bigfix, SMS/SCCM.
Working knowledge of Windows 2008/2012.
Basic web development skills (HTML, JavaScript).
