Savannah Classical Academy Charter School is a Locally Authorized K-12 Public Charter school and operates autonomously from the county school system.

We are adding a second Pre-K class of 20 four year old students. The teacher will be supported with a full time teaching assistant.

Savannah Classical Academy (SCA) is seeking highly skilled candidates for this position. Ideally, the selected candidate’s employment will begin this school year and will work with the instructional team for the remainder of the school year to ensure a smooth transition to the 2026-2027 school year.

Teachers are membersof the CEO's instructional team and are responsible for duties related to academic programs and operational practices.

General Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare students to be ready for entry into SCA's Kindergarten program.
• Uses available technology to enhance the students’ learning experiences.
• Attends and participates in faculty meetings and extra-curricular/school related activities.
• Maintains a professional appearance and demonstrates behavior that is conscientious and responsible.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by theCEO.
• Follows professional practices consistent with school policies in working with students, students’ records, parents, and colleagues
• Facilitates home-school communication by such means as a communication folder, scheduling conferences, telephoning, and sending written communications
• Demonstrates professional practices in teaching:
  • Models correct use of language, oral and written
  • Demonstrates accurate and up-to-date knowledge of content
  • Implements designated curriculum and grade level standards
  • Assigns instructional tasks and homework to students
  • Takes precautions to protect records, equipment, materials, and facilities

SALARY SCHEDULE: PK-Teacher

WORK DAYS: 190 days

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education Level: Degree from an accredited college or university with teaching certification. Certified or eleigible to be certified as a Georgia teacher in the related content area.
