  • Ability to examine data and understand inter-relationships and correlations using deductive and inductive reasoning.
  • Must be detail-oriented, a team player, and possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills - ability to work well with customers and technical personnel.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills - ability to write comprehensive reports, conduct presentations, training sessions, and meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Works with functional and technical users to identify, analyze and document business rules, data requirements, reporting requirements and data models.
  • Develop workflows to automate and streamline business processes based on documented requirements.
  • Create reports based on documented requirements and manage the delivery.
  • Work with other departments to streamline and integrate systems as a means of data sharing.
  • Performs data auditing and validation to ensure accuracy of system data and provide reports for customers.
  • Identify system strengths/weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement.
  • Perform imports/exports and data conversions from multiple sources for large data sets.
  • Ensure issues are tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Participate in project teams and train users as needed.
  • Maintain documentation on system processes and procedures.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is responsible for maintaining and improving the effectiveness and integrations of business systems and processes through collaboration with the business units.

REPORTS TO: Executive Director Business Information System

SALARY SCHEDULE:301

WORK DAYS: 250

REQUIREMENTS
  • Education Level:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Experience, Skill, and Certification:
    • Three or more years of demonstrated experience (depending on education as noted above) gathering data requirements, performing data analysis and system development on business systems in a large-scale, multi-user environment.
    • Working knowledge of report development tools, i.e., SQL, Power BI, python.
    • Demonstrated experience with the analysis and presentation of real-time data using SQL Server Reporting Services.
    • Experience with ERP software and systems integration across various platforms.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical/design skills, and have the ability to identify data and data model inconsistencies and conflicts.
    • Ability to examine data and understand inter-relationships and correlations using deductive and inductive reasoning.
    • Must be detail-oriented, a team player, and possess excellent organizational and time management skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Works with functional and technical users to identify, analyze and document business rules, data requirements, reporting requirements and data models, including metadata components.
  • Develop workflows to automate and streamline business process based on documented requirements.
  • Create reports based on documented requirements and manage the delivery.
  • Work with other departments to streamline and integrate systems as a means of data sharing.
  • Performs data auditing and validation to ensure accuracy of system data. Quality control reports provided to customers and training team for correction and follow up.
  • Identifies business system’s strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
  • Performs imports/exports and data conversion from multiple sources/systems for the manipulation of large data sets.
  • Ensures issues and/or discrepancies are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Participate in project teams and work with a variety of customers to identify needs and solutions.
  • Prepares, generates, and publishes routine and ad hoc reports/metrics for the customers as well as conducting training on use.
  • Maintain documentation on system processes and procedures.
  • Mentors those with less experience through informal channels.
  • Performs other duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the organization.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Incumbents will be considered “at will.” Appropriate pay will be determined based on Grade 301 and allowable experience as determined by Human Resources. This is a 250-day exempt Rev. 05-2024
