Role Type: Full-Time, 10 month

Location: Washington, DC

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational background and work experience

  • 2+ years of lead teaching experience as a teacher in an urban public school preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from a competitive college or university required.

  • Extraordinary oral and written communication skills.
  • Superior analytical skills and sound judgment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • DC Prep teachers are on duty at their assigned campus Mondays through Fridays from 7:15 am to 4:15 pm.
  • All DC Prep staff perform clerical duties related to instructional supplies.
  • Additional responsibilities may arise during the school year.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to sit and work at a desk/computer for extended periods.
  • Must be able to spend the majority of the day mobile throughout the classroom.
  • Ability to concentrate in active environments.
