Our Middle School Music Teacher Role

Located at our founding campus in Washington Heights, our middle school program is designed around students' interests and learning styles, emphasizing a culture of care that fosters achievement. We seek dedicated, mission-aligned teachers for grades 6-8, who will collaborate with the Principal and School Leadership Team to uphold high academic standards and address social-emotional needs. We believe all students can thrive in a challenging, nurturing, and supportive environment.

  • Specialized in guitar instruction
  • A strategic, solutions-focused thinker with strong communication and planning skills
  • A relationship builder who finds fulfillment in teaching and coaching students academically and non-instructionally, respecting their effort
  • Familiar with restorative practices, anti-racism education, culturally responsive pedagogy, trauma-informed practices
  • Self-reflective, receptive to feedback, and committed to professional growth
  • Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Education or relevant content area
  • Possessing a valid New York State Teaching Certification or willing to enroll in a certification program to obtain one within two years
