Join to apply for the SY 25-26 Kindergarten Teacher role at Compass Collegiate Academy.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Instructional Leadership: Develop weekly lesson plans and instructional materials based on data. Adapt plans to ensure high-quality curriculum for all scholars. Use effective teaching strategies for whole class, individual, and small group instruction. Lead social and emotional learning (SEL) programs and connect SEL lessons to academics. Collaborate with co-teachers and staff to support scholar needs. Communicate regularly with parents. Develop expertise in the school's literacy program, including the STEP Assessment.
  2. Classroom Management: Establish high standards of scholar behavior. Use CCA’s data system to track behavior. Create an engaging classroom environment with aligned materials. Collaborate with staff on behavior interventions.
  3. Assessment and Data: Participate in assessment systems and data platforms. Create formative assessments to monitor progress. Administer various assessments and evaluate scholar growth. Communicate progress with parents.
  4. General Responsibilities: Engage in professional development and instructional coaching. Supervise scholars during out-of-class activities. Participate in school functions and community events. Perform other duties as needed to support the school's mission.
