Requirements

• Education Level: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Preferred: Advanced degree(s)
• Experience, Skill, and Certification: Valid Georgia Professional Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education P-5.

Essential Duties

Teaching Tasks

• Provides Instruction at an appropriate instructional level
• Develops content and builds transferability
• Assesses and encourages student progress
• Promotes student engagement and monitors progress
• Supports students and manages the learning environment efficiently

Virtual Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with stakeholders via virtual platforms
• Utilizes appropriate programs and software for instructional and administrative tasks
• Participates in professional learning for online teaching, including required endorsements
• Clearly communicates deadlines and procedures to ensure timely coursework completion

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Adheres to school, district, and state regulations and policies
• Demonstrates professional practices and acts responsibly within the school program

Teacher-specific Responsibilities

• Maintains confidentiality, collaborates with staff, and communicates effectively with parents and students
• Enforces student conduct regulations and maintains punctuality
• Prepares lesson plans, manages records, and coordinates with support staff

Terms of Employment

Annual contract, 190 work days, salary based on certification level and experience.

Physical and Sensory Demands
