This position offers an exciting opportunity to support early childhood education in a dual-language immersion setting, focusing on Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, or English. The support teacher collaborates with lead teachers to create a nurturing, inclusive, and effective learning environment, emphasizing cultural competence and student-centered instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing curriculum aligned with the school's mission and vision.
  • Support the lead teacher in planning and delivering instruction in the partner language.
  • Facilitate small group activities and mini-lessons to enhance student learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to analyze data and improve instructional practices.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment that respects cultural diversity.
  • Engage families and communicate regularly about student progress and school events.

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience as a support teacher or equivalent.
  • Progress toward or possession of a valid state teaching license in elementary education or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience with student-centered, culturally sustaining curricula.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, multilingual environment.

Compensation: Salary ranges from $28K to $48K, with a comprehensive benefits package.
