We are looking for someone to join our second shift team. Rate of pay for the position is $20.99-25.10 hour, plus an additional $1.50 per hour for working 2nd or 3rd shift hours.Primary Job FunctionsBelow is a general description of the essential functions of this job. Not all classifications will be required to perform all job functions.Operates locomotive to transport material and spot rail cars utilizing instructions from a switch list.Regularly operates locomotive in a congested area and must use considerable caution to prevent damage to rail cars or accidents to employees.Operates switches and directs flow of cars in rail yard.Maintains area in a neat and orderly manner and reports work hazards.Knowledge and Skills RequiredMust possess a High School Diploma/GED; or have the ability to successfully complete an on-site basic skills assessment.Must have a valid driver’s license.Must be able to work effectively and efficiently both as a member of a team and independently.Able to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision.Dependable and reliable to show up for scheduled work shifts including overtime.Environmental and Working ConditionsExposed to dirt, fumes, smoke, and heat. Work outdoors and will be exposed to the elements.Moderate physical exertion is required. Positions relatively heavy objects by using a forklift or other mechanical means.
