We are seeking a Switchgear Application Engineer to support technical sales, customer applications, and engineered power distribution solutions for LV and MV equipment.

This role will work closely with customers, sales teams, engineering, and manufacturing to develop accurate technical solutions, review project specifications, and support projects throughout the quotation and execution process.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, drawings, and project requirements
• Develop technical solutions and equipment configurations for LV/MV switchgear applications
• Prepare proposals, submittals, technical documentation, and project support materials
• Support sales teams with technical expertise and customer discussions
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and internal project teams
• Recommend alternative designs and value‑engineered solutions when needed
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical application issues
• Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and project discussions
• Support improvements to application engineering processes and tools

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field preferred
• Experience in applications engineering, sales engineering, technical support, design engineering, or field service
• Experience with switchgear, power distribution equipment, or electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications
• Understanding of LV/MV power systems (480V+)
• Experience supporting engineered‑to‑order or custom equipment solutions
• Strong communication and customer‑facing skills
• Experience with ERP, CRM, quoting systems, or technical documentation tools
