Job summary

Sundance Beverage Company is seeking a 2nd shift Truck Switcher in Warren, MI to load completed orders and switch trailers within the warehouse.

You will operate a Hilo/forklift, inspect loads, and record shipments; maintain safety in hot and cold environments. CDL Class A license and forklift experience are required.

This role is physically demanding, requires overtime and weekend work, and involves lifting up to 65 pounds and handling up to 2000 cases per day.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL Class A Driver's license with less than 5 points REQUIRED.
• Previous forklift operation experience; certification preferred.
• Previous industrial setting experience preferred.
• Lift up to 65 pounds repetitively, 2000 cases per day.
• Must be dependable, punctual, with good work habits.
• Must work weekends and overtime as necessary.
• Must communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers to and from a remote warehouse.
• Inspect trailer and container seals for integrity.
• Record receipts and shipments on documents and in system.
• Load and unload trucks when not driving.
• Consolidate product and raw materials.
• Perform safety inspections on forklifts/switcher trucks.
• Maintain a sanitary, clean, and safe workspace.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.

Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Truck Switcher is to operate a Hilo/forklift in order to properly load completed orders onto the trucks or within the warehouse. This position is also responsible for switching trailers and transporting product to remote warehouses. This position is physically demanding and requires work in both extreme hot and cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Move Trailers to and from a remote warehouse.
• Ensure trailer and container tag seals and intact.
• Inspect loads for cleanliness and quality.
• Accurately record receipts and shipments on documents and in computer system.
• Load and unload trucks (raw materials, finished products, equipment, etc.) when not driving.
• Consolidate product and raw materials.
• Responsible for conducting a safety inspection of the forklifts and switcher trucks.
• Maintain a sanitary, clean, and safe working environment.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

• High School or GED required
• Valid CDL Class A Driver's license with less than 5 points REQUIRED
• Previous experience operating a forklift, certification preferred
• Previous experience in an industrial setting preferred
• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds repetitively, 2000 cases per day
