ConGlobal Industries LLC in Fort Worth, TX is hiring a Railroad Switchman to support safe and efficient railcar movements in our terminal. The role requires operating track switches, inspecting conditions, and coupling/uncoupling railcars, with emphasis on safety and physical readiness.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of rail experience desired.
• Switching or conductor experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to always follow safety requirements and practices.
• Reliable, punctual and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
• Must pass pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate track switches to ensure proper alignment for railcar movement.
• Inspect track conditions and switch points to identify issues affecting safe operation.
• Couple and uncouple air hoses between railcars as part of train assembly or disassembly.
• Replace damaged or broken railcar connectors (approximately 75 lbs).
• Communicate with train crews and yard personnel to ensure coordinated rail movements.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings in a high-traffic rail environment.

As a Railroad Switchman at ConGlobal, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of railcars within our terminal. You’ll be responsible for monitoring and aligning track switch points, inspecting track conditions, and safely coupling and uncoupling railcars. This hands‑on role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to operational safety.

• Maintain awareness of surroundings and potential hazards in a high‑traffic rail environment.

• Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening. The Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations. If applicable for the position you are applying to, and if you are offered the position, you will have to take and pass a drug screen.

• Previous experience in rail yard or switching operations.
