Job summary

Qualifications

Schedule Details: Sunday through Saturday

Scheduled Hours: Mixed Shifts as needed

Shift: 4 - Mixed Shift, 8.5 Hours (United States of America)

Major Responsibilities
  • Answers phones and routes incoming calls to appropriate offices or personnel; dispatch emergency Code calls to clinical personnel.
  • Processes paperwork in an efficient manner according to set procedures, including proper filing and distribution of clinical on-call schedules and wireless devices.

  • Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
  • Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.

Position Qualifications
  • License/Certification/Education
    Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Medical Terminology certified or equivalent experience.
  • Experience/Skills
    Required: Knowledge and experience with MS Office products (specifically EXCEL); accurate keyboarding skills; good verbal and written communication skills; good customer service skills; ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as required. Preferred: Previous operator/switchboard and customer service experience.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions

Work is considered sedentary. Position requires work indoors in a normal office environment.
