Job description

We Are Hiring
  • Department: Telecom Switchboard
  • Schedule: Full Time Will work 2-10:30pm, 5 days per week. This includes working 2-10:30pm every other weekend. This position is also responsible for covering overnight shifts when the overnight operator is on PTO. There may also be additional requests for overnight coverage, if needed for staffing.

  • Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
What You Will Do

Operate the organization's telecommunication system to answer and route incoming calls and to communicate codes, alerts, drills and other announcements.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and relay internal and external calls and provide general information according to protocol.
  • Maintain desk directories, on-call list, reference guides and other associated reference materials.
  • Operate beeper and paging system to contact personnel and code team.
  • Communicate codes, alerts, drills and other announcements according to established policies and protocols, including disaster management plans.
What You Will Need

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Additional Preferences

Previous call center or communications experience strongly preferred.

This is not a public facing position.

Will work on site covering incoming calls for multiple facilities.
