Job summary

Johnson Electric Group is seeking a skilled Swiss Machinist to operate and set up Swiss-style CNC lathes, read complex drawings, and ensure high-precision parts. The role requires 5+ years in a precision fabrication environment and proficiency in tooling and fixture design.

You will collaborate with engineering and quality teams, perform in-process inspections, and maintain a safe, organized workspace to sustain product quality across medical, aerospace, and automotive applications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical certification or associate degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Swiss Machinist in a precision fabrication environment.
  • Proficient in operating and setting up Swiss-style CNC lathes and machines.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and fixture design.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
