Job summary
Toolcraft Inc. is seeking a Swiss Lathe Machinist Level 1 to operate, set up, and program Swiss-style lathes in a clean, high-precision manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement with opportunities for growth.
Wage range is $26–$40 per hour with day and night shifts available. Candidates should have at least 2 years in manufacturing and 1 year of Swiss machine operation, plus a high school diploma. PPE and safety protocols are provided.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment
- 1 year of Swiss machine operation
- High school diploma or equivalent within 2 years of hire date
- Able to read, understand, and follow shop procedures and instructions
Responsibilities
- Setup tooling per project work order and setup sheet
- Audit and maintain shop documents
- Program editing to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Tie-in and train shop technicians
- Operate machine per programs and work instructions
- In-process inspection with part checklist for quality
- Deburr in-process parts to promote efficient run time
- Promote continuous process improvement through daily shop involvement
- Maintain cleanliness of machines, tools, and work area
