Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Swiss CNC Setter/Operator at BoldX Industries, LLC, located in Batavia, OH. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as machine setup, operation, quality control, machining, and working with machinery.

You'll set up and operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines with minimal supervision, performing operations like drilling, boring, turning, threading, and milling to produce precision parts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and adjusting CNC machines from proven or new layouts.
  • Operating machines to meet dimensional requirements, making offsets or adjustments as needed.
  • Reading blueprints and following inspection plans using precision tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM) to ensure quality.
  • Monitoring machine operations, loading/unloading parts, and maintaining productivity.
  • Performing daily maintenance, tracking scrap/labor data, and documenting OEE, SPC, and maintenance records.
  • Maintaining clean work areas, tools, and gauges while ensuring calibration compliance.
  • Collaborating with supervisors to oversee operations, train others, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Adhering to quality standards, OSHA safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Perform all other work assigned

Qualifications

  • Machine Operation, Machining, and Milling skills
  • Quality Control and Machinery skills
  • Experience in CNC setting and operation
  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations (fractions, percentages, ratios, & proportions)
  • Excellent eyesight (with glasses)
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Minimum 2 years related experience or training, or a combination of both
  • High school diploma or equivalent, technical training is a plus
