Job summary

Accelera seeks a Precision Swiss CNC Machinist to develop and execute high-tolerance machining processes for precision components. You will work with multi-axis Swiss-type lathes, optimizing cycle times and quality while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires strong GD&T capability, blueprint interpretation, and tool-geometry expertise. Compliance with safety and regulatory standards is essential in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience operating and programming Citizen or Star Swiss-type lathes.
• Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints and GD&T.
• Strong technical background in machining methods, cutting tool geometry, and feed/speed optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, refine, and validate CNC programs for multi-axis Swiss-type lathes to optimize cycle times and part quality.
• Execute comprehensive machine setups, including tooling selection, workholding configuration, and precise offset adjustments.
• Validate first-piece production through rigorous metrology and inspection to ensure strict adherence to engineering specifications.
• Maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including setup sheets and process control records, to support revision-controlled workflows.
• Proactively troubleshoot technical challenges related to tooling, programming, or machine performance to minimize downtime.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
• Ensure all production activities align with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including GD&T requirements.
