Job summary

METAL CRAFT, Elk River, MN, is hiring Swiss machinists for 2nd shift. You will operate Citizen, Star, and Tsugami machines, read blueprints, and set up tooling with attention to tolerances.

Associated with a 40-year track record, this role offers competitive base pay with 15% shift pay and a $3,000 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments. The position requires 0–2 years CNC machining experience and an Associate Degree in machining.

Qualifications

• Reads and understands blueprint, job routings, set up sheets, and charts for dimensions and tolerances.
• Load and set tools with understanding run out and tool length stick outs.
• Positions and secures tools in tool holders on turret and cross slide.
• Able to load and unload programs and ensure correct program is in place.

Responsibilities

• Operate Swiss department machines (Citizen/Star/Tsugami) and measure quality characteristics.
• Run more than one machine when cycle time permits.
• Perform Quality Control documentation of tolerance zones on blueprints.
