Position: Swiss CNC Machine Setup Operator

Primary Job Duties
- Maintain acceptable setup standards (i.e., time and quality).
- Provide cycle time and job layout corrections.
- Run production to productivity and quality standards.
- Transfer and/or download programs to CNC machine control.
- Follow layout to properly arrange and set cutting tools to be used.
- Install work holding devices, part ejectors, and other necessary accessories as specified.
- Instruct operators or other workers in machine setup and operation.
- Set up machines for other workers.
- Complete daily maintenance and adhere to 5S standards.
- Communicate work status effectively.
- Follow policies, procedures, vision, values, principles, and philosophies.
- Maintain acceptable attendance.
- Perform any specifically assigned tasks.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
- Proven track record in operation and setup of CNC machines.
- Ability to adjust tools, machine components, and verify accuracy of machine capabilities and materials.
- Proficiency with tools, equipment, and work aids, such as precision gauges and measuring instruments.
- Decision-making skills based on logic, experience, and training.
- Ability to gather information on job processes and report process improvements.
- Shop math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, decimals, percentages).
- Advanced blueprint reading skills, including GD&T.
- Technical school certificate/degree preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, including bending, twisting, crouching, etc.
- Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift.
- Ability to work with oils/coolants.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment.
