Job description

GreenFoot Technologies is searching for a Swiss CNC Applications Engineer for our client at their Minneapolis, MN, and the same for their Windsor, Connecticut Office. These are Full-Time, Direct Hire Opportunities. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US. No third Parties.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Running turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other customer-related projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.

• Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews, including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations, and development of turnkey proposals.

• Developing/implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set-up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss-style lathes, and/or multi-tasking machines.

• Conducting training of customers in the safe set-up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss-style lathes, and/or multi-tasking machines.

• Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications.

• Traveling to customers for on-site training and engineering assistance.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool related engineering and manufacturing.

• Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company.

• Knowledge of Fanuc-based controls and 5-axis experience is a plus.

• Experience with CAD/CAM software is preferred but not required.

• Able to think quickly, assess a situation, and make a sound decision.

Additional Guidelines:

• Must be comfortable with extensive travel @ 50-60%.
