Job summary

FSIoffice is seeking a Swing Truck Driver in Raleigh, NC to join our delivery team. You will drive a delivery vehicle, match tickets to items, load/unload, and ensure on-time deliveries with care for product safety.

Working hours are typically Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime on short notice. The role requires good eyesight/hearing, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and strong communication with customers and warehouse staff.

• Load the truck so deliveries align with schedule while protecting product and vehicle from damage.

Job Description

This position serves as FSIoffice’s last contact with our customers on every order we ship via a company vehicle. Therefore it is our final opportunity to make sure each and every customer is satisfied with our outstanding service commitment. The delivery driver is the company’s last chance to make sure that the pick ticket corresponds with the material pulled for delivery to the customer. The critical nature of this position requires that these responsibilities be performed in an extremely professional manner and with strict attention to detail.

All tasks related to the job will be accomplished in accordance with company business practices and in the professional manner required to maintain a solid business relationship with our valued customers.

Specific Responsibilities: Delivery Tasks:

• Drive delivery vehicle when needed. Continuous entry and exit of the truck cab, as well as the back of the truck, throughout the day.
• Match paperwork tickets to the material pulled for each and every order assigned to your route
• Load vehicle on a daily basis, with various product. Weight of product could range between 1lb – 150 lbs; anything over 150 lbs will usually require 2 or more people to work together.
• Load truck so that deliveries are accessible in conjunction with delivery schedule while protecting product and vehicle from damage.
• Communicate effectively with all customers.

Truck Inspection:

• Keep vehicle clean from debris and trash inside the vehicle
• Perform a daily DOT inspection of the vehicle
• Properly complete appropriate forms, indicating any outstanding issues
• Immediately notify Ops Manager of any outstanding issues.
• Fill assigned vehicle with gas at the most efficient time, using designated filling stations as much as possible
